Job summary

The Source is seeking a Govt. Grant Compliance Coordinator based in the Austin or Houston, Texas area. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Senior Director of Operations.

You will help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local grant requirements, support monitoring, training, and documentation, and assist with audits and site visits for programs including TTf and SRAE. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work with cross-functional departments are essential to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, accounting, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of government grant compliance, administration, or audit experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with 2 CFR 200, HHSC contracts, and monitoring/audit processes is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret federal and state regulations under supervision.
  • Strong research, data management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Director of Operations on government grant compliance matters.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, policies, and SOPs as directed.
  • Prepare training resources to educate staff on grant requirements.
  • Assist with monitoring, audits, and program evaluations.
  • Provide administrative support for risk management and corrective actions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with SRAE and TTf requirements and related policies.
  • Track compliance of grants and contracts with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Assist in communications with government funders and monitoring agencies.
  • Help maintain policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with grant requirements.
  • Assist with internal monitoring, file reviews, and compilation of findings.
  • Document corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare materials for external monitoring visits, audits, and site reviews.
  • Coordinate with Finance on documentation and cost allocation for compliant reimbursements.
  • Support program teams with compliance-related documentation and reporting.
  • Assist in delivering compliance training for staff and partners.
  • Provide routine compliance reporting support to leadership.
  • Attend and volunteer at local fund-raising events when possible.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Govt. Grant Compliance Coordinator supports The Source's compliance with applicable federal, state, and local government grant and contract requirements, working under the direction and authority of the Senior Director of Operations.

This role assists with compliance documentation, monitoring, and staff training to support adherence to Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), HHSC and other state agency requirements, and grant-specific performance, reporting, and audit standards for programs including Texas Thriving Families (TTF) and Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE), as well as other government grants as assigned.

What You\'ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Senior Director of Operations on matters of government grant compliance, including state and federal funding.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance documentation, policies, and SOPs as directed by the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Help prepare training resources and materials to educate staff on grant requirements and compliance standards.
  • Assist with monitoring, audits, and program evaluations under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Provide administrative and documentation support for risk management and corrective action planning.
  • Demonstrate ongoing compliance with all Sexual Risk Avoidance Education and Thriving Texas Families (TTF) requirements, including participation in required trainings, adherence to program protocols, compliance standards, documentation requirements, and applicable state and organizational policies.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Operations in tracking compliance of government grants and contracts with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Support the Senior Director of Operations in communications with government funders and monitoring agencies, as directed.
  • Help maintain compliance policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with grant requirements, under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Assist with internal monitoring, file reviews, compliance audits, and help compile findings for leadership review.
  • Document and track corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Help prepare materials for external monitoring visits, audits, and site reviews.
  • Coordinate with Finance on documentation and cost allocation support for compliant reimbursement.
  • Support program teams with compliance-related documentation and reporting under guidance from the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Assist in the delivery of compliance training for staff and partners.
  • Provide routine compliance reporting support to the Senior Director of Operations.
  • Expected to attend and volunteer at The Source's local major fund-raising event every year. Strongly preferred to attend and volunteer at The Source's second major fund-raising event as well.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
