Job summary

Chenega Corporation EH&F is seeking a Recruiter I in San Antonio, TX to manage full-cycle recruiting for the Environmental, Healthcare & Facilities SBU. You will source, screen, submit candidates, extend offers, and guide hires through pre-employment steps.

Strong communication, fast pace, and proficiency with ATS and MS Office are essential to succeed. The role involves collaboration with Hiring Managers and participation in job fairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year recruiting, administrative or human resources experience.

Responsibilities

• Fills open positions efficiently and effectively by performing direct sourcing of candidates via job boards, social/professional networking, referrals, and research.
• Performs cold calling, referrals, or incumbent calls and follow-up conversations to prospective candidates.
• Gains knowledge of local attractions and government facility advantages to promote the position to candidates, reviews Job Description and ensures requirements are met.
• Reviews resumes for content and applicability to Job Description requirements.
• Negotiates salary within approved range and explains time off policy, WDR, 401a and SCA fringe if applicable.
• Screens and evaluates candidates’ skills, work history, education, and salary requirements; completes reference checks if needed.
• Presents Hiring Manager with qualified candidates with brief histories and references; provides CV copies for facility consideration.
• Contacts accepted candidates to extend offers, details contract hours, start date and benefits, and directs candidates to apply online.
• Completes and distributes a New Hire Notification form.
• Assists Credentialing department with questions and background checks.
• Documents ATS interactions and maintains candidate database; ensures ATS integrity.
• Maintains hiring records in compliance with government requirements.
• Adheres to Chenega Corporate employment policies.
• Participates in recruitment job fairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
