Job Description Summary: The Government Contracts (“GovCon”) Manager oversees U.S. Government funded contracts between Cadence and its Aerospace & Defense customers, spanning a range of deal types including software, hardware, IP, and design services. This role is responsible for coordinating government contract functions with a focus on proposal support, project execution, and risk mitigation, and serves as a liaison between legal, sales, finance, programs, and other internal stakeholders, and is responsible for identifying and mitigating contract-related risks. In this role, you will advise internal stakeholders on contract strategy, regulatory and corporate policy compliance requirements, organizational conflict of interest mitigation, and risk management, while interfacing directly with senior leadership, sales executives, program managers, and contracting officers to resolve issues that arise during capture, proposal development, contract negotiation, performance, and closeout. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups and moving several complex deals forward at once. This position requires access to information subject to U.S. export control laws, and the successful candidate must therefore be a U.S. Person as defined in 8 U.S.C. §1101(a)(20), or 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
The annual salary range for San Jose, CA is $ 127,400 to $236,600. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
