Job summary

The Building People, LLC, is seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent to support government contracting. The role involves placing orders against established contracts, and executing pre- and post-award actions under FAR guidelines. Telework may be restricted; multiple locations are available including Birmingham, AL.

The position requires knowledge of purchasing methods and regulatory compliance, with experience in FPDS-NG, FBO and related systems. Strong math and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• At least two (2) years experience in contract purchasing or similar position.
• Requires 20 Hours of Professional Acquisition Related Training (Annually).

Responsibilities

• Place government orders against established contracts (POs, BPAs, IDIQs).
• Perform Pre-award and Post-award contracting actions.
• All procurement actions are governed by the FAR and agency policy.
• Use various purchasing procedures to acquire supplies, services and construction.
