Ideal candidates have 4–5 years in government contracts within a firm or equivalent experience, and coursework or clerkships in related areas. We look for demonstrated interest and experience in government contracts, strong research and writing

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in DC.
• 4–5 years of government contracts experience in a law firm or related setting.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research: Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case/transaction preparation and strategy.
• Legal Writing: Draft briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Case/Transaction Assistance and Management: Manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution including trials, negotiations, closings, and other activities.
• Internal/External Client Interaction: Build and maintain client relationships with regular updates and professional communication.
• Collaboration: Work with other lawyers and professionals to develop strategies for favorable outcomes.
• Attend, support, and participate in high-level legal activities including hearings and negotiations.
• Compliance: Stay updated on legal standards and regulations.
• Professional Development: Seek ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Firm Citizenship and Community Involvement: Engage in pro bono work and firm initiatives.
