Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a Boeing subsidiary, is seeking a qualified Compliance Accountant to help ensure government contract integrity and strong internal controls within Spirit Defense.

The role focuses on monitoring regulatory compliance, applying FAR and CAS, and supporting a comprehensive government compliance program through training, communications, and audits.

Strong Excel skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate with government auditors are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting and/or related experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access.
• Ability to understand and apply U.S. Government regulations (FAR, CAS, GAAP/SOX).
• Excellent Excel skills and ability to educate others on controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Spirit for financial compliance with the U.S. Government rules and regulations.
• Regularly reviews operations to ensure accounting complies with FAR, CAS, and GAAP/SOX requirements.
• Identify weaknesses and recommend corrective actions to strengthen processes.
• Remain current on applicable U.S. Government regulations and industry best practices.
• Liaison with DCAA and DCMA during reviews and audits to ensure compliance.
