Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a qualified Financial Management professional to support DoW audit remediation efforts, strengthen internal controls, and improve audit readiness. You’ll coordinate with government stakeholders and auditors to drive remediation activities, track milestones, and present status to senior leadership.

The role requires an active Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years of federal financial statement audit experience.

Qualifications

• ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET federal or DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Five (5) or more years of experience supporting federal financial statement audits, internal controls, audit readiness, or related financial management activities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating requests, meetings, evidence submissions, and follow-up activities while facilitating communication among stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of audit inquiries and findings.
• Analyze audit findings, deficiencies, material weaknesses, and internal control issues to identify root causes and develop remediation strategies, including Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Mission Action Plans (MAPs).
• Establish remediation milestones, performance metrics, and key success indicators, and tracking progress, risks, dependencies, and barriers through dashboards, briefings, and executive reporting
• Advising stakeholders and senior leadership on audit readiness, internal controls, compliance requirements, and remediation strategies to improve audit outcomes
• Preparing executive-level presentations, status reports, and briefing materials and presenting remediation status, risks, and recommendations to senior government leadership
