Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position within the Bureau of Communicable Diseases plays an essential and multifaceted role in overseeing the development, refinement, and implementation of bureau policies, protocols, and administrative frameworks. The role also contributes significantly to performance management activities, internal and external communications, and fiscal oversight across the Bureau. It requires the consistent application of a structured, analytical, and highly methodical understanding of business practices, administrative processes, and organizational dynamics. The incumbent is expected to interpret, evaluate, and resolve complex operational challenges while demonstrating advanced professional judgment. Additionally, the position demands exceptional interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills to work effectively with employees and leadership at every level of the Bureau, as well as with programs and offices throughout the Department of Health.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of performance management concepts, strategic planning and operational planning, project management, DOH organizational structure. Skills in active listening, planning, complex problem solving, use of quality improvement tools and techniques, judgment & decision making, systems analysis, monitoring, written communication, public speaking, analyzing and interpreting data, experience using Microsoft applications such as word, excel, PowerPoint, experience using outlook and teams. Abilities in inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, information ordering, problem sensitivity, facilitation, and emotional intelligence.

Qualifications:
