Job summary

Woodward is seeking a seasoned government accounting professional to oversee financial systems and controls for government contracts and grants. You will lead technical accounting efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive accurate financial reporting across programs.

The role requires deep knowledge of FAR/CAS, GAAP, and audit coordination, with opportunities to mentor staff and steer project plans and budgets in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (strongly preferred) or Finance.
• ITAR/EAR compliance awareness required (ITAR/EAR information handling).
• U.S. person status or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes related to government contracts and grants.
• Providing technical accounting guidance and support to ensure compliance with government accounting standards and regulations.
• Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial reports related to government contracts and grants.
• Leading and coordinating audits and other compliance activities related to government contracts and grants, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
