Gemini is seeking a dynamic leader to manage day-to-day governance of its compliance program and risk oversight. The role covers policy, annual risk assessment, QA/testing, and the customer complaint process, reporting to the Head of Governance.

In-person presence is required twice a week at our New York City office. The role emphasizes governance maturity, cross-functional collaboration, and applying AI tools to enhance control testing and regulatory reporting, with strong interaction across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; J.D. or relevant advanced degree a plus.
• 6+ years of compliance experience, including complaints handling or second-line testing.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory expectations for BSA/AML and sanctions compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Interest in using AI tools in daily workflows with careful data handling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee governance framework, policy review cycles, and escalation protocols.
• Prepare materials for compliance and risk governance committees.
• Lead AML/Sanctions risk assessments and control effectiveness reviews.
• Apply AI and automation to improve complaint handling and reporting.
• Coordinate compliance testing plans and remediation tracking.
• Support end-to-end customer complaint oversight and regulatory reporting.
