Job summary

ICF is seeking an experienced Software Security Engineer to lead mission-critical initiatives for a government customer, safeguarding applications and cloud systems by integrating security best practices across the SDLC.

In this remote role, you will monitor security, perform secure code reviews, guide DevSecOps, and prepare executive briefings for government stakeholders and leadership while collaborating with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• 2+ years in application security, secure SDLC, or cybersecurity engineering.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess application and system security to identify vulnerabilities.
• Conduct secure code reviews and static/dynamic analysis for secure coding.
• Test security tools and configurations to ensure DoD compliance.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
• Design and implement security controls across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Provide DevSecOps guidance to development teams.
• Maintain security architecture documentation and risk findings.
• Deliver executive briefings and status updates to government stakeholders.
