Job summary

Woodward is seeking a senior financial role focused on government contracts and grants. The position oversees design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes, providing technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance with FAR/CAS and related regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, strong GAAP knowledge, and deep experience with government accounting standards, enabling accurate financial reporting and effective audit

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (strongly preferred) or Finance.
Experience with government contracts and grants is preferred.
Strong knowledge of FAR and CAS and government accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes related to government contracts and grants.
Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance with government accounting standards and regulations.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports related to government contracts and grants.
Lead and coordinate audits and other compliance activities related to government contracts and grants.
Manage projects related to government accounting and financial reporting, including plans, timelines, and budgets.
