Job summary

DO & CO is seeking a dedicated Receiver to join our New York team. You will receive and verify food and beverage deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, while maintaining traceability through internal lot numbers and HACCP compliance.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in receiving or related roles, ability to lift heavy items, and flexibility for varying shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays). The role offers a pay rate of $21.35 per hour, plus meals and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in receiving, storing, or handling merchandise.
• Prolonged standing and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing heavy items as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in varying temperature environments, including cold storage.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming food and beverage deliveries, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Reject unacceptable products and maintain traceability using internal lot numbers.
• Adhere to FIFO, date marking, labeling, and HACCP protocols.
• Distribute products to dry storage, coolers, freezers, and designated sections for meat, fish, and produce.
• Break down pallets and label items for proper storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving area and ensure timely clearance of shipments.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist in maintaining stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members to meet department goals while upholding food safety.
