Job summary

City Winery Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment. You will support a high-volume kitchen while upholding hygiene standards in a dynamic live-music venue environment.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and adapt to a varied schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
• Excellent guest service and hospitality skills are expected.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work both as a team and independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots or pans, using proper cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Scrape and sort dishes prior to loading into dishwasher.
• Maintain clean and orderly kitchen work areas and equipment.
• Unload dishwashers and restock clean dishes and utensils.
• Maintain dishwashing machine and report inventory or mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Clean and sanitize floors, drains, freezers and coolers.
• Move supplies from storage to work areas using proper equipment.
• Report to work on schedule, in proper uniform.
• Bag kitchen trash and discard in dumpster as directed.
• Ensure adequate levels of detergents and cleaning supplies.
