Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Welder II to repair and weld spirally welded cylinders, ensuring adherence to ASME and AWWA guidelines. The role involves 1st and 2nd shift hours and requires working with flux-core welding, FCAW, SMAW, and SAW processes while inspecting completed work.

The candidate must demonstrate gouging proficiency, blueprinted reading, and strict safety discipline while maintaining high quality and joining tolerances.

Competenze

• Gouging experience is required and air carbon arc gouging proficiency is essential.
• Must be able to prepare joints for rewelding and shape metal using a carbon electrode and compressed air.
• Experience with inspecting interior and exterior of cylinders per AWS/ASME specs is required.

Mansioni

• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect interior and exterior surfaces of spirally welded cylinders; perform repairs per specifications.
• Report repairs and dimensional measurements accurately to the nearest 1/32 inch.
• Utilize oxyacetylene cutting torch to square cylinder ends and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to welding equipment.
• Maintain organized and safe workstation; report to crew leader or supervisor.
