We seek a detailed-oriented, experienced, and pro-active Financial Controller & Bookkeeper to help us achieve revenue and profit goals, scaling from 8-figures to 9-figures.

Tasks

• Develop detailed financial forecasts to guide business decisions.
• Calculate product margins and optimize profit.
• Assist in tracking inventory costs and ensure accuracy of records.
• Analyze financial data, including return rates, to recommend sales prices.
• Manage and maintain accurate P&L statements, balance sheets, and financial ratios.
• Create scenarios based on strategic decisions.
• Prepare tax returns, manage sales tax filings, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate to achieve a company-wide profit target of 20%.
• Provide insights and strategies to improve financial performance.
• Ensure accurate cash flow management and understand cash movements.
• Utilize Finaloop software for financial record-keeping.
• Provide insights based on U.S. financial regulations relevant to e-commerce.
• Offer strategic insights into U.S. brand performance, managing extensive SKUs.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Financial Controlling, Accounting, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar in e-commerce.
• Experience managing over 800 SKUs in an e-commerce setting.
• Fashion e-commerce experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial forecasting, profit optimization, and cash flow management.
• Familiarity with Finaloop or similar software.
• Knowledge of U.S. financial regulations and best practices for e-commerce.
• Expert in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Understanding of inventory management and its financial impact.
• Knowledge of international tax regulations and transfer pricing.
• Ability to develop financial controls and risk strategies.
• Experience preparing financial statements per GAAP.
• Excellent communication skills for non-financial stakeholders.
• Proactive problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• CPA, CMA, or CIMA certification is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
