Job description

Are you a tech-savvy problem solver looking to build a career at the forefront of Cloud technology? At NextNovate, we don't just move companies to the cloud; we help them innovate. We are looking for an ambitious Engineer - someone with a solid technical foundation and a hunger to learn - to join our Infrastructure team and grow into a GCP Cloud Architect/Consultant.

The Role: Your Path to Cloud Mastery

You will start by supporting our existing clients and collaborating with our Senior Architects to maintain high-performing Google Cloud environments. This is a "learning-by-doing" role. While you handle support tickets and technical troubleshooting, you will be mentored by the best in the business, gaining the hands-on experience needed to eventually lead your own projects and design complex architectures.

What does your week look like?

Your week is a mix of hands-on technical work and structured learning. You might start Monday by resolving a deployment issue for a client, followed by a sprint session where you help an Architect write Terraform code for a new landing zone. Mid-week, you'll dedicate time to your Google Cloud Certification studies. By Friday, you're participating in a "Tech-Refinement" meeting, sharing insights from the support cases you've handled to help improve our customers' cloud environments.

Get to know us:

At NextNovate, we believe that work should be fun. We act as the ultimate guide for innovative frontrunners - such as Zonneplan, Simon Loos, Yource, Mantel, and YoungCapital - navigating them through every aspect of the Google Cloud Platform. Our mission is to accelerate business transformation by providing expert direction. As pioneers, we lead by integrating AI (Gemini) into everything we do - we practice what we preach.

Our DNA:
  • Being a Friend: We build trusted relationships based on unconditional support and honesty.
  • Exploring Fast: We have an insatiable curiosity and test new possibilities at high speed to stay ahead.
  • Using Innovative Tech: We embrace change and adapt to evolving technological landscapes.
  • Owning It: We all possess a true sense of ownership, ensuring work gets done on time.
Some of the things you are going to do:
  • Collaborate with Cloud Architects and our customers on the definition and implementation of complex Cloud Infrastructures
  • Work with customer teams to create and implement detailed implementation plans
  • Work with the customer and NextNovate team members on implementations, work can include project management tasks too. Provide experience and insights, technical guidance to team members and help build concepts and tools for our teams to further develop skills, knowledge and speed of implementation.
What do you love:
  • Act as the first line of technical expertise for client environments, troubleshooting infrastructure issues and ensuring high availability.
  • Help build and manage cloud solutions using infrastructure-as-code, moving from diagrams to repeatable, version-controlled code.
  • Work alongside Architects to execute detailed implementation plans for complex migrations and platform setups.
  • Assist in managing machine types, database performance, and security configurations to ensure our clients get the best ROI from GCP.
  • Actively work towards becoming a Professional Google Cloud Architect through our internal training and certification programs.
What you bring:
  • A Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • You have experience in programming OR experience managing on-premise/cloud environments.
  • You enjoy "under the hood" work - figuring out why a system isn't performing and how to fix it permanently.
  • You are a clear communicator in English (Dutch is a major plus) and enjoy explaining technical solutions to others.
  • You don't just want a job; you want to master Google Cloud. You are proactive, curious, and thrive in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
What we offer:
  • A competitive salary (range € 2.800 - € 3.800 depending on experience)
  • Phone and MacBook Pro
  • No hierarchical culture
  • The flexibility to work from home or at the office
  • 25 days annual leave (with the opportunity to buy 10 additional days)
  • Free Google Cloud certifications
  • Free snacks and drinks at the officeWork from home allowance and equipment
  • NS card for work-related travel
