Job summary

Goodwill of South Central Ohio is hiring for a retail associate to deliver world-class customer service, process donations, and manage merchandise in hardlines and softlines. You will operate the cash register, issue receipts, and maintain store appearance.

The role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends, with responsibilities spanning stocking, tagging, and housekeeping while following company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings, nights and weekends.
• Must pass background check and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide world-class service by addressing the needs of all customers.
• Operate cash register according to Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies and procedures.
• Assist in the collection of donations and ensure receipts are issued.
• Stock and merchandise hardlines and softlines as directed by management.
• Maintain store appearance and perform housekeeping duties.
• Clock in/out daily using Paycom and your unique login.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; flexible shift with evenings/nights/weekends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:Provide world-class service by addressing the needs of all customers.Promote donations from the community by using all resources available.Promote Goodwill within the community to enhance its public image and to obtain support for the furtherance of our mission through the management of a retail store. Demonstrate commitment to the highest standards possible in relationships with internal and external associates.Responsibilities:Operate cash register according to Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies and procedures.Provide excellent customer service; greet each customer as they come into the store and practice the 3-foot rule.Ensure the proper handling of all monies by adherence to GWSCO’s policies and procedures.Assist in the collection of donations coming into the store. Ensure all customers get a receipt if desired.Clock In/Out daily for scheduled shifts in Paycom using your unique login information.Share in housekeeping duties and maintain store appearance.Assist in the production, tracking and stocking of hardlines and soft lines at the direction of management.When assigned to hardlines, team members are expected to process , efficiently and accurately.When working on soft lines, team members must be able to sort, tag, and hang maintaining quality and adherence to company standards.Follow all Goodwill of South-Central Ohio policies and procedures.Flexible schedule with availability for evening, night, and weekend shifts.Other duties as assigned.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stoop, bend, reach over your head, climb ladder, and lift 25 pounds.Qualifications:Pleasant personality and neat appearance.Will be subject to the company’s random drug testing procedures.Must pass a Goodwill-approved criminal background check and not appear on any government registries that track abusers or other such offenses.Education and or Experience:High school diploma or GED preferredPrior retail or related experience preferred
