Job summary

Arcis Golf in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a Golf Course Spray Technician to safely apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers while maintaining excellent playing conditions. You will work with the Golf Course Superintendent to implement agronomic programs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a state pesticide applicator license or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• State pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain license within timeframe.
• Knowledge of turfgrass management and chemical application procedures.
• Ability to safely operate spray equipment and maintenance machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Preferred degrees in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
• Experience with GPS-guided spray systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other turf care products per schedules and label requirements.
• Operate and calibrate spray equipment, spreaders, and related machinery.
• Monitor turfgrass health and identify weeds, insects, and diseases.
• Maintain records of chemical and fertilizer applications per regulations.
• Assist in IPM program development and implementation.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain spray equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical handling and disposal.
• Assist with general golf course maintenance as needed (mowing, irrigation repair, bunker maintenance).
• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
