Job summary
Desert Mountain Club in North Scottsdale, AZ, seeks a seasonal Player Assistant to warmly greet Members and Guests, enforce golf rules, and maintain smooth play flow across seven courses. You will log tee times, communicate etiquette, and support daily operations to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
The role requires excellent communication, a passion for golf, and a professional demeanor. 18+ and prior high-end golf experience are preferred; season runs Oct 2026–May 2027 with starting pay
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in a high‑end golf operation is preferred.
- Working knowledge of proper golf etiquette.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and enthusiastic greeting to golfers upon arrival.
- Communicate proper golf etiquette and course information for the day to all players.
- Ensure players arrive and tee off at designated starting times.
- Maintain a precise log of cart numbers and player names in each group.
- Enter starting time and player names into the PACE GPS system.
- Reconcile the tee sheet with golf shop personnel throughout and at day end.
- Keep starter areas clean and alert manager to maintenance needs.
- Assist with supplying scorecards, pencils, tees, and other essentials.
