Job summary

Octagon is seeking an Event Executive (Golf Sponsorships & Partnerships) to drive a national grassroots golf program and activate partnerships across the golf landscape. You will collaborate with the Experiential Manager and Group Director to elevate the client’s brand through strategic events and activations.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in marketing or sponsorship, strong communication skills, and a passion for golf and events.

Qualifications

1–2 years of marketing or sponsorship experience.
Experience with professional/amateur golf and/or event management.
Strong communication, writing and client service skills.
Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically (20–45%).

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the client’s grassroots golf program (36 local qualifiers nationwide).
Coordinate event logistics, dealership registrations, and scheduling with golf courses.
Support planning and execution of activations related to PGA TOUR event sponsorships.
Track trends in golf industry and marketing tactics.
Manage client inquiries with support from the Account Trainee.
Develop assets and consumer communications with the team.
Assist meetings and notes, coordinate timelines and budgets.
Supervise Account Trainee and temporary staff as needed.
