Job summary

City of Palmer's Palmer Municipal Golf Course Clubhouse is seeking a Concession Attendant to serve snacks and drinks, take orders, and handle sales for golfers and guests.

You will work primarily in the clubhouse or snack shack, standing for long periods and assisting with opening/closing duties. Alaska-specific certification and a valid driver’s license are required, with weekend and varying hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Alaska Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment is required.
• Valid Alaska State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends as assigned.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Perform light physical tasks.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems and till reconciliation.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Serve food and beverages to golfers and guests.
• Operate golf carts to deliver food, beverages, or supplies to golfers as necessary.
• Take orders, prepare items, and handle sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked concession area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service.
• Assist team members and support smooth daily operations.
• Observe and enforce all rules and regulations of the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
