Description

The Golf Retail Associate is responsible for assisting management in all day-to-day operations of the golf shop. Responsibilities include registering golfers for play, promoting and selling merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service. The role involves promoting SCP’s Culture & Core Values, anticipating guest needs, resolving complaints, and maintaining a positive environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with golf course operations, including check-in, fee collection, and managing outside service staff.
  2. Provide expert advice on golf products, assist with product displays, and manage inventory.
  3. Organize and participate in tournaments and golf events, including planning, promotion, and scoring.
  4. Play golf with customers and share insights on new products and technologies.
  5. Adhere to loss prevention programs and departmental policies.
  6. Perform opening and closing procedures and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid work permit.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of golf, rules, and facility operations.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior customer service experience preferred.
Supervision

Reports to the Director of Golf.

Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
