Job summary

Eagle Springs Golf Club is seeking a groundskeeper to perform semi-skilled maintenance on the golf course and club grounds, operating large mowers, tractors, and related equipment.

You will assist in general maintenance, support project work, and ensure safety procedures are followed on site. Previous golf course maintenance experience is helpful; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Position Summary

This position performs semi‑skilled grounds construction and maintenance work on the golf course and club grounds using large mowers, tractors, and other specialized golf course equipment, as well as general maintenance of the golf course and club grounds.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate large mowers, fairway units, specialized golf course equipment, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, sod cutters and pruning saws.
• Operate skid steer, fairway and rough aerifiers, and boom sprayer.
• Check fluid levels before operating any machinery.
• Report any abnormalities discovered while operating machinery to the Equipment Manager.
• Return all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility and wash equipment at the end of each use.
• Service the golf course, including changing green flags, putting cups, moving rope and barricades, and moving tee markers and directional stakes.
• Assist in project work; assist in the construction and seeding of new greens, tees, and fairways.
• Mow, trim or edge lawns using walking power mowers or edger’s.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hand saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes in the performance of tasks.
• Prune or trim trees, shrubs or hedges using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Gather and remove litter, trash, and other debris on property.
• Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features.
• Adhere to company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Complete other tasks/duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Possess a valid US Driver's license.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, turf vehicles, mowers, and maintenance equipment.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational safety hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Previous experience and knowledge of golf course maintenance, procedures and equipment.
