Job summary

2nd Swing Golf is seeking an Inventory Analyst to keep stock accurate and well-priced across both new and used inventories. You will track aging, sell-through, and market pricing to stay competitive, while leveraging data to drive acquisitions and future orders.

The role sits at the intersection of data and golf equipment, requiring strong Excel skills and experience with ERP or inventory systems. This position is based in Eden Prairie, MN, with full-time hours and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in inventory analysis, merchandising, retail operations, or a similar analytical role.
• Experience at a company that operates both physical retail stores and an e-commerce platform.
• Hands-on experience analyzing inventory across both channels, including in-store vs online performance.
• Golf industry knowledge: familiarity with brands, model cycles, and equipment condition standards.
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, large data sets); experience with an ERP or inventory management system.
• Detail orientation and ability to move fast as business priorities shift weekly.

Responsibilities

• Track inventory levels, aging, and sell-through across both new and used product categories.
• Monitor pricing against market comps to keep positioning competitive.
• Use sell-through, aging, and margin data to adjust pricing decisions and promotions.
• Execute markdowns, promotions, transfers end-to-end and measure impact.
• Analyze trade-in and buy-side data to help set acquisition values by brand/model.
• Plan future orders using historical sales data on comparable models and prior-season performance.
• Advise buyers on order quantity, mix, and timing to stock the right products.
• Build and maintain reporting on turnover, margin, shrink, and stock accuracy.
• Partner with store and e-commerce teams to balance inventory across locations and channels.
• Flag trends like new model releases and seasonal swings.
