Hobbit's Glen Golf Club in Columbia, MD is seeking a friendly Front Desk Attendant to provide top-tier customer service, manage tee-time bookings, and handle member check-ins with smooth transactions in a welcoming environment. This part-time role offers opportunities to work across departments (outdoor services, cart attendant, ranger, starter, range).

Evening, weekday, and weekend availability is required, with 18 hours weekly in the season, and proficiency with POS systems and basic computer

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Average of 18 hours of weekly availability during March 1–December 1.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to utilize telephones, computers, Microsoft Windows and Office products, email, and the internet.
• Ability to quickly learn new computer systems.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with large and small numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with booking tee times.
• Process member check-ins and transactions.
• Inspect and maintain club cleanliness; restock snacks and supplies.
• Help members take advantage of golf programs and services.

GOLF FRONT DESK ATTENDANT

Hobbit's Glen Golf Club is looking for friendly, customer service-oriented and highly-motivated individuals to join our team!

The Front Desk Attendant provides the highest level of customer service to members and guests by creating a warm and welcoming environment at all times. You will be responsible for (but not limited to) supporting the day-to-day activities and functions of the club, assisting members with booking tee times, processing member check-ins and transactions, inspecting and maintaining the cleanliness of the club, restocking snacks and supplies, and helping members take advantage of golf programs and services.

He or she is encouraged to learn to work in multiple departments/areas of the facility such as outdoor services, cart attendant, ranger, starter, and driving range duties. Evening, weekday, and weekend availability is required. Previous job experience performing transactions using a POS system and/or in a customer service capacity and familiarity with the golf industry and terminology is preferred.

Requirements Include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to provide an average of 18 hours of weekly working availability during the working season (March 1-December 1)

The pay range for this position is $16.00 to $17.00. The actual pay rate offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the positionandtheamount budgeted for the role.
