Job summary

La Ville d'Albuquerque recherche un opérateur d'équipement léger pour entretenir les golfs. Le candidat sera responsable de l'opération et de la maintenance d'une variété d'équipements légers et de l'exécution de tâches de maintenance des terrains. Qualifications

• Deux années d'expérience dans la maintenance des terrains.
• Possession d'un permis de conduire valide du Nouveau-Mexique.
• Capacité à suivre des instructions orales et écrites.

Responsibilities

• Effectuer des inspections de maintenance quotidienne.

Job description

Operate a variety of light equipment used at golf courses; perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and perform a range of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

High school diploma or GED;and

Two (2) years of experience performing general grounds maintenance work involving the operation of light maintenance equipment and hand tools.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Evenings and/or weekend work may be required.

• Operation and maintenance requirements of a variety of light equipment and hand tools
• Practices, methods and materials used in grounds maintenance and general maintenance work
• Principles and practices of tree, plant and turf care including proper fertilization techniques
• Principles and procedures of spraying herbicide and fungicide
• Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
• Traffic laws, ordinances, and rules involved in equipment operations
• Turf management and/or Agronomy techniques in a Golf Course setting

• Operate a variety of light maintenance equipment and small hand tools including, but not limited to, gas and diesel powered engines/equipment such as dump/flat bed truck, small tractors, lawn mowers, blowers, weed eaters, etc. in a safe and effective manner
• Load and haul debris
• Perform daily equipment maintenance inspections
• Perform a variety of semi-skilled grounds maintenance tasks
• Operate a variety of vehicles in a safe and effective manner
• Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unfavorable weather conditions
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Communicate clearly and concisely
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
