Highlands Ridge Golf Course is seeking a passionate Superintendent to oversee agronomy, leadership, and environmental stewardship. This full-time, year-round role focuses on keeping the course in top condition for players, with a salary range of $65,000–$90,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities include turfgrass management, irrigation oversight, pest and disease control, and staff supervision. Preferred certifications and Florida-based groundskeeping experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in golf course groundskeeping.
• Thorough knowledge of the construction of golf courses and the ability to maintain golf course tees, fairways, and greens.
• Proficient with the maintenance of different types of turf used on golf courses, the planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants and shrubs.
• Knowledge of the characteristics and proper use of various fertilizers, soil conditioners, herbicides and pest control materials and methods.
• Possess thorough knowledge of drainage control methods, watering, and irrigations systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls.
• Familiarity with groundskeeping equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Turfgrass Management including mowing, fertilization, aeration, and weed control.
• Manage Irrigation systems and adjust watering cycles for efficiency.
• Implement IPM strategies and conduct regular inspections for pests and diseases.
• Maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and cart paths to ensure playability.
• Hire, train, and supervise groundskeeping staff; provide safety training.
• Oversee maintenance expenses and budget planning; order supplies as needed.
• Develop water conservation strategies and ensure environmental compliance.
• Communicate course conditions and upcoming maintenance to golfers and club management.
