Job summary

The Woodlands Country Club - Player Course, part of Arcis Golf, is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead the agronomy team during a major renovation. The Player Course is in the process of greens, surrounds, bunkers, tees, irrigation and drainage upgrades, and will reopen in October.

The successful candidate will oversee day‑to‑day maintenance, mentor staff, ensure compliance with laws, and drive maintenance excellence across 99 holes in the Arcis portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Turf Management or related field.
• Supervisory experience required with a minimum of 10 years golf course experience.
• Must hold a State Certified Pesticide License.
• Special consideration for exemplary performance at premier facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages the golf course maintenance department day-to-day activities within financial parameters.
• Communicates with General Manager and Golf Professionals on course conditions and playability.
• Promotes Arcis Golf philosophies to staff, members and guests.
• Directs and manages Assistant Superintendents, Technicians, Mechanics and agronomy team.
• Reviews monthly profit/loss statements with GM and Regional Superintendent.
• Oversees irrigation systems programming, maintenance, and pump station management.
• Responsible for HR functions, turnover, development and retention of maintenance staff.
