Job summary

The Marriott Lincolnshire Resort seeks a Superintendent to lead the Golf maintenance team and oversee the course, clubhouse grounds, and practice areas. You will manage agronomic programs, budgeting, scheduling, and safety while maintaining high-quality course conditions.

Ideal candidates have a 2-4 year degree in agronomy or turf, 5+ years in golf course maintenance, and at least 2 years as a superintendent, with leadership and budgeting skills. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in agronomy or turf management and substantial golf course maintenance experience.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and initiate all golf course projects in accordance with annual budgets and capital plans to meet financial goals.
• Direct and supervise care of greens, fairways, tees, and clubhouse grounds.
• Provide feedback on course conditions and tasks to Golf Director.
• Oversee Groundskeeper team including course setup, mowing, irrigation, and projects as needed.
• Conduct daily scouting of golf course for improvements.
• Coordinate weekly work schedules and supervise subordinate Associates.

Two years as an Assistant Superintendent

Minimum five years in golf course maintenance

Minimum two years as a golf superintendent

State Pesticide License

GCSAA membership preferred
