Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a dedicated GCM Superintendent to oversee daily course maintenance and long‑term planning. You will supervise staff, manage irrigation, and ensure turf health while adhering to safety policies and environmental stewardship.

The role requires 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant capacity, a degree or related certification, and a valid pesticide license or ability to obtain one. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Formación

• Proven experience in golf course maintenance or groundskeeping, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or assistant role.
• Degree or certificate in related field of study.
• Knowledge of horticulture, turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and pest management.
• Valid pesticide license or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Director of Agronomy in managing daily course maintenance operations, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, aeration, pest control, and turf management.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met.
• Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to maintain optimal turf health and water conservation.
• Implement and follow best practices for turf management, including disease and pest prevention.
• Assist in planning and executing seasonal maintenance programs and projects.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, maintenance schedules, and operational costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and club policies.
• Collaborate with course management and staff to improve course conditions and guest experience.
• Participate in staff training and development to promote a knowledgeable and motivated team.
• Assist with special projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Agronomy.
