Golf Course Superintendent

Location: Wildwood, Florida, USA

Position Overview

Works to create an environment where staff is involved and enthusiastic with open communications. Places safety as a value and is responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture in the company.

Responsibilities

• Turfgrass maintenance programs
• Personnel management
• Budget and forecasting
• Financial management
• Scheduling and maintenance of the irrigation system
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications
• Record keeping and compliance of regulatory issues
• Responsible for all phases of golf maintenance and agronomic operations, profit and loss of the business unit, and personnel for specified golf courses
• Works closely with, advises, and coordinates with the director of golf operations, director of operations, and manager of the company
• Works closely with, advises, and coordinates with the facility managers and golf professionals for specified golf courses
• Must be able to set the tone and establish a safe work culture for all employees
• Must be able to work independently and be a self-starting problem solver

Requirements

• Must have or acquire a state pesticide license within 90 days
• Associate’s Degree in Turf Management or comparable experience

Compensation
