Job summary

Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Michigan is seeking a Director of Agronomy / Golf Course Superintendent to lead all phases of agronomic operations for the championship course and club grounds. The role reports to the General Manager and collaborates with committees, staff, and members to deliver top-tier conditions and a premier member experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 7-10 years of progressive golf course maintenance experience.
Experience preparing golf courses for PGA, USGA, state, regional, or other high-level championship events.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, plant health, fertility programs, irrigation systems, water management, drainage, cultivation practices, and pest management.
Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic programs delivering exceptional playing conditions.
Direct maintenance for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, ranges, and grounds.
Oversee fertility, pest management, irrigation, drainage, and turfgrass performance programs.
Monitor course conditions daily and adjust practices based on weather, events, and play volume.
Lead budgeting, staffing, capital planning, and environmental stewardship.
