Arcis Golf's Broad Bay Country Club in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a skilled Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance of the course, oversee irrigation, turfgrass programs and a dedicated grounds crew.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in golf course management, strong leadership and budgeting skills, and a passion for sustainable practices to deliver exceptional experiences for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass, irrigation systems, and golf course equipment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficient in budget management and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Implement and execute turfgrass maintenance programs to ensure health and appearance of the golf course.
• Monitor and manage irrigation systems for optimal water usage and turf health.
• Oversee mowing, aerification, topdressing, and other cultural practices to maintain course conditions.
• Manage and maintain bunkers, greens, fairways, and other course features to meet or exceed standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of groundskeeping staff.
• Schedule and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient course maintenance.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assist in development and management of the annual budget for the maintenance department.
• Monitor expenses and work within budgetary constraints.
• Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices on the golf course.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in golf course management.
