Job summary

Pinehurst is seeking a Starter/Ranger to help manage orderly play on our golf courses. The role requires standing for long periods, operating a golf cart, and delivering courteous service to Members and Guests.

You will inform players of daily conditions and ensure timely play, while adhering to golf etiquette. Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) and at least 3 months related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent
• Must stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Must be able to operate a golf cart or similar equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of golf etiquette

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about general rules of golf
• Direct players to the starting tee and manage tee sheets
• Inform players about daily course conditions and guidelines
• Monitor play timeliness and course conditions across assigned courses
• Be accessible to players for service or assistance at all times
• Perform multiple duties as needed, including returning abandoned carts and delivering messages
