Kendall Vegetation Services has been in business for over 60 years and provides full-service vegetation management for the Utilities industry in 14 states. Starting as a commercial tree trimming company, we also provide services such as storm and emergency restoration, line clearance, herbicide application, and transmission right-of-way maintenance and mowing.
TOP PAY FOR CDL DRIVERS including $1,000 Retention Bonus
The Groundperson positions clears brush and trees as directed and performs clean-up on each job site.
Essential duties include:
• Working from the ground and clearing undergrowth from right-of-way by using a variety of tools
• Loading and unloading trucks with logs, brush and debris; feeding brush into chipper
• Performing general clean-up of job sites following completion of work
• Carrying, preparing, and storing materials, tools and equipment at work site
• Flagging traffic to protect employees and the public from potential harm or injury
Specific requirements include:
• Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
• Must have and maintain a CDL Driver’s License if hired for a driving position
• Physical strength and balance to drag heavy limbs, use chain saw, and pruners in uneven terrain
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed
