Job summary

Colleton County Government is accepting applications for the Director of Golf Course Operations at Dogwood Hills Golf Course. This role manages daily operations, golf shop, tournaments, leagues, rentals, customer service, budgeting, purchasing, marketing, and staff supervision to deliver an exceptional experience.

The Director works with the Golf Course Grounds Superintendent to maintain the course to County standards while maximizing participation and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in golf course operations, hospitality management, recreation management, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily golf course operations including the golf shop, tournaments, leagues, facility rentals, customer service, budgeting, purchasing, marketing, and staff supervision.
• Collaborate with Golf Course Grounds Superintendent to maintain course and facilities to County standards and provide an exceptional golfer experience.
• Operate the golf course in a fiscally responsible manner while increasing participation and revenue opportunities.
