BrightView is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent for the Desoto Executive Golf Course in The Villages, Florida. You will lead maintenance, operations, and management of the course, serving as the liaison between BrightView, the customer representative, and the golf shop to ensure smooth daily course operations.

The role requires experience in all phases of golf course management, agronomy knowledge, pest control licensing, irrigation and equipment oversight, budgeting, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
• Working knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance practices on greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Degree or advanced knowledge in agronomy, horticulture, plant, or soil science.
• Strong administrative and executive ability with good communication and computer skills.
• Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage.
• Familiar with fertilizers and soil conditioners.
• Knowledge of irrigation, pumps, wells, controls, and drainage.
• Ability to prepare the course for play and evaluate from the player's perspective.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of all contract areas.
• Develop long-term property improvement plans with the customer.
• Supervise operation, maintenance, and repair of course equipment.
• Prepare and manage annual budget estimates.
• Follow annual agronomic plans within contract specs and budget.
• Procure and manage supplies for maintenance activities.
• Create and distribute maintenance reports as required.
• Manage golf course employees including hiring, training, and discipline.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Administer BrightView safety and BV360 programs.
