Job summary

The Patch in Augusta, GA, managed by Bobby Jones Links, seeks a maintenance team member to support turf and course operations. You will operate maintenance equipment safely, perform routine servicing, and keep logs and cleanliness to ensure optimal course conditions.

This role also supports fertilizer and pesticide programs, loads supplies, and assists with special projects while working outdoors in varying weather. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow safety procedures.

• Loads and unloads material.
• Maintains the course and its surroundings (grass, trees, plants, bushes, waste canisters).
• Assists with special projects.

Opened in 1928, Augusta Municipal Golf Course, known locally as The Patch, has long been a gathering place in the community for those who love the game. In 2023, Masters Tournament Charities, Augusta Technical College and The First Tee of Augusta entered into a partnership to revitalize this historic property and preserve it for future generations. The Patch, managed by Bobby Jones Links, features a redesigned 18-hole course, led by golf course architects, Tom Fazio and Beau Welling, and a new 9-hole short course, The Loop at The Patch, designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assists with the implementation of all fertilizer and pesticide programs.
• Safely operates the maintenance equipment.
• Maintains maintenance and oil/gas logs on equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
• Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
