Job summary

City of Richmond is seeking a qualified Grounds/Facilities Supervisor for Highland Lake and Glen Miller Golf Courses. The role oversees daily course maintenance, equipment operation, and project coordination to ensure optimal playing conditions and a pristine environment.

Required are knowledge of turf management, safety practices, and strong organizational skills. A bachelor's degree is preferred, with technical turf credentials accepted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Landscape Architecture.
• Associates/Technical degree in Turf and Landscape Management or related field.
• Experience in golf course maintenance or greenskeeping.
• Knowledge of turf management practices and disease/pest control.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily course maintenance activities.
• Oversee greens, fairways, tees, bunkers, and other course features.
• Diagnose turf conditions and recommend treatments.
• Manage inventory of tools, chemicals, and equipment.
• Coordinate improvement projects and work with vendors.
• Prepare areas for events and tournaments.
• Maintain records of maintenance schedules and chemical applications.
• Report progress to the Director of Golf Operations.
