Job summary

Bonita Bay Club is seeking a Golf Course Maintenance Operator to keep our Florida courses in peak condition. The role involves course setup, mowing, equipment operation, and turf care with a focus on member and guest safety.

The position is full-time and located on-site at our Bonita Bay Club campus. A reliable team player with a valid driver’s license is preferred. We offer strong benefits and access to club amenities.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of Golf Course Maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work for long periods while walking, standing, or stooping.
• Flexible schedule; weekends and holidays.
• Must follow oral and written directions and Drug Free Workplace Policy.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Golf course setup tasks: change cups, move tee markers, empty trash, fill divot buckets, adjust hazard markers, clean stations.
• Operate mowers including tee, fairway, and rough mowers.
• Operate tractor-drawn equipment such as pull frame mowers, top dressers, loaders, and sprayers.
• Use two-cycle hand tools and apply fertilizers, wetting agents, and pesticides; follow safety rules.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE OPERATOR:

• Golf course setup will be performed by changing cups, moving tee markers, emptying trash cans, filling divot buckets, moving hazard markers, cleaning comfort stations, and addressing all associated detail items.
• You will be operating mowers, including but not limited to: tee mowers, fairway mowers, and rough mowers.
• You will be operating tractor-drawn equipment, including but not limited to: pull frame fairway and rough mowers, top dressers, topdress trailers, front-end loaders, tractor-drawn sprayers, and bush hog mowers.
• You will be operating two-cycle hand tools, including but not limited to: string trimmers, edgers, hand blowers, etc. You will apply granular fertilizers, wetting agents, and pesticides. This role will require you to be responsible for the safety of yourself, your fellow employees, and our members and guests.
