Northwood Club in Dallas is seeking a dedicated landscape maintenance worker to support golf course grounds and club properties.
You will mow greens, tees, fairways and roughs, rake bunkers, trim hedges, mulch, plant, water and operate a variety of hand tools safely.
The role requires teamwork with the maintenance crew, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work outdoors in heat or cold. A reliable, punctual attitude and basic reading of English are important.
Northwood Club is a rapidly growing with increased membership. The Club was established in 1946. We are a premier country club located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We are in the process of re-opening our newly renovated championship golf course in April. The club has a Distinguished Clubs of the World Emerald Designation for outstanding member service. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary.
Provides daily maintenance and landscape services for the golf course and other areas as required. Main job function will be mowing, blowing of leaves, raking bunkers, clearing out brush, tree damage and using a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools for general landscaping.
High school education; or up to two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
May be required: to read a limited number or two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; to print and speak simple sentences.
May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Frequently stands and walks; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts or carries up to 50 pounds.
Regularly uses close, distance, color, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. Ability to adjust focus.
Works in outdoor conditions and with loud mechanical machinery. Will be required to work in outdoor weather conditions, heat and extreme cold. Noise level is moderate.
Must be at least age 18.
