Job summary

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to assist with course and grounds upkeep in Northern Michigan. The role involves manual labor such as shoveling, raking, mowing, planting, trimming trees and shrubs, and supporting teams to complete daily tasks.

Expect early start times, weekends required, and up to 40 hours per week. No prior experience is needed; candidates must be at least 18 and ready to learn proper safety and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Outdoor conditions experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manual labor including shoveling, raking, mowing, planting flowers, trimming trees and shrubs.
• Safe and proper operation of power or manual equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to work with others as a team to achieve the common goal of assigned tasks.
• All weekends required.
• 40 hours per week.
• Assist other departments when requested.
• Help train other employees on certain job tasks when necessary.
