Job summary

Westwood Country Club is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to maintain the golf course and surrounding grounds. Responsibilities include mowing greens, pruning shrubs, operating equipment, and supporting irrigation and course setup.

The role requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or with a team in various weather conditions. A high school diploma is preferred; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping is an advantage but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Golf Course and Grounds Care: Mow greens, tees, fairways, and rough areas; maintain turf health.
• Landscape Maintenance: Prune shrubs/trees, plant flowers, trim landscape features.
• Irrigation System Management: Assist in operating and maintaining irrigation systems.
• Bunker and Hazard Maintenance: Rake bunkers and repair edges; manage sand distribution.
• Seasonal Tasks: Leaf removal, snow removal, winterizing plants.
• Debris Removal: Collect and dispose of trash and debris on grounds.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate groundskeeping equipment; maintain it in good order.
• Safety Compliance: Follow PPE and safety protocols; report unsafe conditions.
• Inspections: Check for pests, diseases, and damage; assist in treatments.
• Course Setup: Change hole locations, move tee markers, ensure signage.
