Job summary

Avion Hospitality is seeking an entry-level Grounds Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of the Grounds team, ensuring the golf course remains in playing condition while supporting the Director of Grounds in budget adherence and guest satisfaction.

The role requires coordinating tasks, coaching staff, and maintaining safety and quality standards to deliver exceptional service and a well-kept course for guests.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major.
• 2 years' experience in the landscaping/grounds or related professional area/or Equivalent experience in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist workers to perform more critical duties and coordinate day-to-day operations.
• Coach and counsel employees regarding performance on an on-going basis.
• Plan and review work projects with the Director of Grounds.
• Prioritize and schedule tasks such as fertilizing, irrigation, seeding, mowing, raking and spraying.
• Supervise daily shift operations and ensure compliance with Grounds policies and procedures.
• Oversee Grounds operations in the absence of the Superintendent.
• Maintain property golf course grounds and upkeep.
• Lead safety procedures and communicate safety codes to the team.
• Set and monitor performance standards, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring Grounds staff and recognition programs.
• Lead training initiatives and identify educational needs for staff.
