Job summary

Careerwebsite is seeking an entry-level supervisor to coordinate day-to-day activities of a Grounds team responsible for preserving golf course turf and keeping it in playing condition. The role supports the Director of Grounds to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while upholding the department budget.

The successful candidate will typically hold a 2-year degree in Agriculture/Horticulture or related field and have relevant landscaping/grounds experience; strong leadership and safety

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major.
• 2 years' experience in landscaping/grounds or equivalent.
• Experience in supervising or coordinating day-to-day operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day Grounds operations to maintain golf course conditions.
• Coaches and counsels employees regarding performance on an ongoing basis.
• Plans and reviews work projects with the Director of Grounds; sets priorities and schedules tasks.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed and that staff have proper supplies and uniforms.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring Grounds staff and conducts training when appropriate.
