Job summary

The City of Temple is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker to support the golf course and related facilities. Under the supervision of the Golf Superintendent, you will perform landscaping, irrigation, and janitorial tasks to keep greens, parks, and facilities in good condition.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in maintenance or operating related equipment is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general landscaping duties, including mowing, trimming, edging, sod work, seeding, and watering for greens, parks, and assigned facilities.
• Maintains trees and planting areas, which involves planting, pruning, pest control, fertilizing, and weed and vegetation removal as needed
• Operates and maintains irrigation systems and ornamental fountains
• Ensures cleanliness of grounds by removing ground litter and properly disposing of trash from containers on a timely schedule
• Performs janitorial services to clean and maintain park restrooms
• Completes required daily paperwork for the department
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
