Job summary

Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT is seeking a reliable groundskeeper to maintain the facilities and grounds to the club's high standards.

You will perform mowing, trimming, irrigation, drainage work, and course renovations as needed, operate a range of groundskeeping equipment, and deliver excellent service to members and guests in all weather.

This role requires physical strength, the ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education is not strictly required; a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with no violations required.
• Experience in landscaping, golf course groundskeeping, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of golf course etiquette and rules preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of facilities and buildings.
• Perform mowing, trimming, and edging to keep the course neat.
• Maintain tee, greens, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and cart paths to standards.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and heavy machinery.
• Assist with irrigation, drainage, and tree maintenance tasks.
• Support golf course renovation projects and course shaping.
• Provide friendly service to members and guests and report issues promptly.
