Job summary

Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) seeks a qualified Grounds/Golf Course Maintenance Specialist at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. You will assist the Golf Course Superintendent with turf, irrigation, pesticide use, and overall grounds upkeep of a 27-hole course.

Candidates should have turf management knowledge, experience in pest control, and proven supervisory ability. The role requires compliance with safety standards and regular coordination with maintenance

Qualifications

• Degree in Turf Management or Agronomy required.
• Broad background in golf course maintenance and operations.
• Knowledge of pests and pesticides for treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in determining use of pesticides, fertilizers and seed for 27-hole course.
• Ensure proper function of irrigation system and water application across greens/tees/fairways.
• Lead and supervise maintenance staff and approve leave.
• Maintain records and safety compliance (MSDS, PPE).
