Job summary

Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, invites rising turf management students to join our 2027 Golf Course & Grounds Internship. Interns will work on the Blue and Gold courses, learn calibration and application practices, irrigation troubleshooting, disease identification, and water management, under the supervision of our seasoned staff.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an accredited two- or four-year turf management program.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to visually inspect golf course and clubhouse grounds conditions.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily golf course setup and maintenance.
• Learn fertilizer and pesticide calibration and proper application practices.
• Support irrigation troubleshooting and repairs.
• Develop skills in disease identification and turf management.
• Assist with water management on USGA and push-up greens.
• Gain exposure to equipment maintenance operations.
• Learn about clubhouse horticulture and grounds maintenance.
• Help prepare the Club for the 2027 KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
